explore the well with hero when you get the town report and you can fight them. You can't get them for your army though

for 3 obvious reasons
1. free xp (and not the worst)
2. free resources (can't say you don't love that)
3. you don't have to go straight away, after 2 weeks it'll still be there

reyloc did and they started coming out and killing her troops in one city.
Not sure if that was a server hiccup or not but when she screamed...
"Did you just explore my well, I have rats and thieves killing my troops!!!?"
I came running and sure enough, there they were!
That may explain why some players are perplexed and asking questions about where the rats and thieves came from....
Now she explores her wells regularly instead of waiting for the message to tell her to...

If you have a lot going on (and trust me she does!) then you might miss the message and eventually, it falls off the bottom of the message queue, which obviously it did because we looked and there was no message...
When we explored the well and the rest of them came out, there were like 1/2 the normal amount for that sized city.
Looking at the log messages, this had been going on for awhile.
*shrugg* Just letting y'all know about another weird and wonderful feature of the game.

I don't know about this. I have not explored my wells for over a month...sounds kinda strange to me.

i havent explored my wells for a month and this hasn't happened to me. What does happen is when all your troops finally die in a city, you get a battle report. This will include all previous battles fought in a city (likely rats and thieves). So even though 100 footpads only killed my last 2 men at arms, the battle report said footpads, rats and thieves killed 2 men at arms, 10 knights and 15 swords.

this sounds like more "in the moment" than just looking at a battle report...but that could be it skull...
How do you get rats and thieves?
