Ok I'm Irate, I've Captured My Second City On Several Different Server's But I Won't Be Rewarded My 50Gold Because I Skipped The Tutorial?!

I've wrote support, and that what response i've gotten... there should be an warning, "If you skip the tutorial you will not reap the benefits"

yeah seems fair enough idea, gets more players to take part in the tutorial too, which is what the developers want

i see no flaw in this idea, i see it as a warning when you attempt to skip the tutorial it says the warning

I am a NOOB and will have fallen into that trap. I was following the tutorial and when I had ordered whatever it asked for I pressed the skip button to get to the next instruction and get on with it. It was much later I realised I wasn't being rewarded with the resources etc that were promised, so I am angry too.

Mind you, the help is not good in this game. I have built a small army to defend my town and a raiding army. I select the army to raid and press 'leave town'. But the next screen asks me to enter the name of the army, which it does not recognise. The only choice is select all, but I don't want my defence army to go raiding.

The game has a lot of potential, but until the help is better (eg I can't find an overall strategy of what you should try and achieve and what sort of level to be at when beginners protection ends) then I'm afraid I won't be playing. Back to travian!!

Yeah i have the same issue with army name's locking, when i goto attack i don't see it

it just takes time after awhile it'll show, i think

but yeah that tutorail is a joke.

I ignore it, and let it stay there until i am ready to do it... (should be minimize-able)

It should also be "repeatable", but not give you the rewards if you have already gotten them before. (To fix what happens when players skip certain stages)

All in all, skipping the tutorial (When it shows obvious rewards) is sill silly, even if the tutorial steps are a bit ridiculous and far fetched at the time it takes to do them.

Well 99% of games would let you go back and do it again. When perusing a new game i often skim the whole tutorial to see the overall strategy and gain a quick feeling of the game before i invest to much time.

I understand that. Which is why I said "You should be able to do the tut again and get the rewards if you skipped".

I concur - you should be able to "rewind" the tutorial - or it should warn you.

What we can do - what I can do - is to add notes in the wiki where we covered the tutorial. It isn't as good, but it is something.

I'm planning a new guide for the wiki, it will cover more information, provide a ton of links (to more details), and more importantly, be up to date.

Help for this specific tutorial step

Also, my very last warning: Do not hijack other peoples' threads. If you have a new question, open a new thread.

I like tutorials that are a bunch of quests. You do them in the order you want and get the rewards once you've done them.
