Ok, we've got carts and slaves for looting purposes.
How about donkeys and mules, then? The mules, the principal transportation of Europe in the Middle Ages - we're really missing them here. I mean, I personally am.
A feature suggestion: the donkeys cannot climb over mountains, while the mules should be allowed to - they do finely in highland tracks IRL

1. Adding donkeys and mules increases diversity. Based on your logic, there was no point in adding slaves, either.
2. Well, let mules accomplish a little different thing, then. For instance, let them be used ALSO as the infantry transportation to increase the speed of armies.

Maybe you have not read any of the forum rules threads I've made. I'm not a developer, I'm just the English forum moderator.
that's the problem...games have to have balanced discrete options, this is even more so for a tactical strategy game. adding too much of the same thing is, in my eye, very pointless.
the problem with this is that you can group heroes together and their same abilities are stacked, at a lower efficiency of course but there must be a limit to such abilities. if you wish to travel faster, group more heroes together what that skill. there are now even artifacts that can boost travel also. so, if you implement this, it throws the delicate balance and discreteness out the window. You have to be very observant and considerate to this balance if you wish to add something because one trip up and everything goes to hell...
