most internet chat rooms have a system for keeping track of the numbers of posts members make; why not have one for 1100AD forums too? It might allow newbies to tell the difference between sound advice given to them by members who post regularly on forums, and posts designed to mislead by those who only post occasionally.
Ok so i might be on shaky ground as far as the 'logical reasons why this must be introduced' are concerned, but hey, it's more just a case of 'why not?' I don't think it would be hard to implement, it could be useful, and it would just be a bit of fun having rankings based on how active you are in the forums. what do people think or ? (apologies if there is already something like this planned and in my ignorance, i simply don't know about it) |

Would be a good idea.
Perhaps rankings could be: Scout - 0-10 posts Ranger - 11-20 posts Pikeman - 21-35 posts Swordsman - 36-50 posts Marksman - 51-100 posts Man-at-Arms - 101-150 posts Archer - 151-200 posts Horseman - 201-250 posts Knight - 251-350 posts Barbarian - 351-500 posts Knight Templar - 501-1000 posts Teutonic Knight - 1001+ posts |

this might cause people looking up emptier forums and posting loads of pointless threads just to get the rank up...
and people that post more occasionally are not always the worse players. overall I think the idea is good, but it should not be based on the amount of posts- in some sites the forum participants are rated by the number of their replies rated as helpful etc. maybe 100ad forums should have something similar |

I don't know about a knight of noble birth being outranked by a common barbarian... It just doesn't fit with the medieval setting, I'd say. Also, the Knight Templar should outrank the Teutonic Knight, IMO. The Knights' Templar is the more impressive of the two legends, after all. (It should also be renamed "Templar Knight.") |
