On the two new servers, there has been the wonderful update of upgrading mercenary camps. However, it costs gold (and only gold) so someone like me, who does not (and can not) buy gold, would have to have about 42 level one mercenary camps to get as many mercenaries as someone with a single level five camp.
My idea is this: there could be another tab in the Obelisk or Castle that says "Camp Upgrades". There it would have a list of all of your mercenary camps, with an investment slider to invest resources to upgrade each camp. It could take a large amount of resources, but I feel that it is an inordinate disadvantage for players who do not use gold.
I will add an image of what it could look like very soon.

One possible option!
Regardless, to downsize the available merc so much and to leave no way to upgrade without gold seems to give the gold players way to much of an advantage.

Okay, I will not have time to make an image... *sorry* ...but this tab (in my mind) would look like the other tabs but have smaller tabs to the side that are your mercenary camps with their co-ordinates (so that you know which one you are upgrading). The page would then look like the Obelisk or Library investment pages.
Yeah, that's why I got this whole thing started.
Now, for certain players.... *ahem* that buy tens of thousands of gold and have hundreds of mercenary camps, I am not sure how to fit that many tabs on the page!
Oh well, few of the suggestions actually get implemented due to the fact that it takes time (yes, I understand, developers), but I hope that this one DOES get put into the game.
