I am Playing on the Skogmark server. The foot soldiers are able to climb the walls and get in a city but do not seem to have the capability to open a gate to let the horse soldiers in??? Hollywood does that all the time and it seems valid to me. Give a good time delay or even a battle then time delay but it should be more realistic.

First off, movies are movies. You should never compaire reality to movies...Now, with that said, I'm sure there are many valid events in history where this was indeed the case since it is a very logical and effective (if it works) strategy. However, this game is not a simulation; it does try to add a little bit of historical reality to the game-play, but for it to be a playable, fun game, it needs to have its boundaries. You say it needs to be more realistic, yet there are no disease, there are no famines, your troops don't die of old age, etc.
The game does provide a work-a-round. You can simply demolish the gate. I feel this is the only rule needed for the game play to be reasonable, fair, and fun.
