Not so long ago, we got a very good upgrade with shared population. It was a very good change. What would be the next step? Here's what I suggest that I think would improve the game: Shared artifacts storage between all cities.

I thought about this as well, but I don't think they'll add this option.

Back on subject, I think this is something that could be good, with the many artifacts we have, and only 20 slots in one city, it becomes painful to get the needed artifacts when cities are sometimes far from each other. I sure keep the most popular artifacts in the same city, but when I need the others, I have to run to a city, or the other. That's why I think shared artifacts storage would be good for everyone, but it might be hard to implement.

You are the original poster, you may ask for the title to be changed or off-topic posts to be removed. I'll gladly change the title if you want me to and I indeed thought that you were asking a general question ... that's why the off-topic posts were not removed.

As for your suggestion, I don't think it's that unrealistic, because I thought the same about the shared population, yet it was implemented. I do think that this is an aspect that has a low priority for the developers, even if this thread might have brought it to their attention.
My personal opinion: But it wouldn't be my first wish if I could change an aspect of the game.

I think the shared artifact storage is a hard sell.
For one, the heroes now have the ability to raid other cities for artifacts. Trying to sort which artifacts can be stolen from the city is tough if the artifact storage is shared across all cities.
Secondly, it would also remove a feature where you must spend gold to transfer an artifact from one city to another. I had to spend gold to use that feature once. I doubt the developers would circumvent a gold generating feature.

I agree with what chester23 has said, which is why I said that I don't think they will add this option. But maybe they will consider increasing the amount of artifact storage that each city has.

The very same argument was made against shared population, yet it was implemented.
That's right, I forgot about that.

Yes please, change it to: After shared population, shared artifacts storage?
It would be clear what the thread is about. You could also delete the off topic.

About the gold to transfer, the Rewrite Troops section was a gold feature for anyone who wanted to register their troops quickly in a different city, but they gave us shared population despite that.
I agree the part about which artifacts are in what city can become problematic. Maybe the artifacts would be randomly placed in the cities when the player becomes inactive or noCommander.

Exactly what I wanted to say.
That wouldn't be enough. In addition to clearly positioning the artifacts when a player goes inactive, the artifacts need to permanently have a home port, so it would be clear which artifacts can be robbed if an enemy showes up in one city and decides to start robbing artifacts.
To solve this, you could drop the concept of shared storage and instead suggest a panel where all city storages are shown in one place and the transfer between them is free, yet the borders remain clear.
