We have the Norman Archers.
What about also having the English Archers? I never heard of the "norman(dy) archers" and I'm very much into history. But many may know about the English archers - who ensured the victory over the French at Agincourt, eh?
My POV, the English Archer should be able to shoot over 5 cells and move quicker, but cost way more so it's not easy to gather crowds of them and pummel everyone around ))))

And I personally would love to see the Scottish Highlanders in the game. Mercs? I don't think so - never heard of the kilt-wearers as mercs in the Mediaeval Europe. But - AN IDEA: YOU CAN BUILD THE HIGHLANDERS' STRONGHOLD (the way you build a teutons' castle, for example) AND THEN RECRUIT THE HIGHLANDERS FROM IT.

The V-sign has the same origin - the English archers who hadn't had the misfortune of being captured and having their fingers chopped off used to show the V-sign to the French before the battles. That meant "I've got the fingers to shoot - you just wait." Sort of...

The English longbow archers

Btw, turns out the French crossbowmen that were defeated at Crecy (not at Agincourt) were actually the Genoese crossbowmen that I've also suggested as an addition to the game armies. (:s8:)
