With travel times so long, especially between valleys, it would be nice to get things done during that time to reorganize hero's for example...I think it's logical that if armies of hero's are traveling together, that they'd be able to exchange. In this way you could launch, then organize for landing and move artifacts to a hero with the crown...the big players have many hero's and legions, and can take awhile to organize.
