As I gather quite an army of heroes, managing heroes have gotten quite cumbersome. I recommend the following ideas for developers' consideration.
Artifact transfer.
- Allow artifacts to be transferred while the army is in transit. I believe this was suggested many times before.
- Allow artifacts to be transferred between heroes within the Treasury in the castle.
Artifact management
- In the hero screen, have a button to show the hero's artifacts in bigger screen. So the hero's skills screen would disappear and the hero's artifact screen at the bottom would be maximized to use the hero selection screen as well allowing to show 20 artifacts instead of 5 artifacts that you must scroll through.
Hero selection.
- Allow a way to access the hero directly from the attack screen while preserving the selected army, formation, etc. This can be done by either double clicking, or showing a button to select hero when you hover over the hero (just like when you hover over hero's artifacts, you get options to use or throw out). So from the attack screen, you can select the hero and equip artifacts.
- Allow a way to access the hero from the castle's treasury tab.
- Allow selection the hero from the Storehouse/Strongbox screen. All you would have to do is to click on the hero name to go to the hero's screen.
- Within the attack screen, have three buttons:
1) select/unselect all free heroes
2) select/unselect all conditionally free heroes
3) select/unselect all paid heroes
- Within the castle's Leader tab, have a button to show only heroes in that location only.
- Within the castle's Leader tab, allow hero selection just like the city selection with gold/silver subscription (hover the mouse over the hero's name and the entire list of heroes would appear to select.)
Hero recognition.
- In the attack screen, within the hero portrait, allow to differentiate different types of heroes very easily. One idea would be to use a different colored border on the hero portrait, or another would be to use different colored backgrounds in the portrait:
GREEN: Free hero
BLUE: Conditionally free hero
RED: Paid hero
- Along the same line as above, show the crown in the portrait itself in the attack screen for the lead hero.
I strongly believe that implementing some or all of the above ideas above will significantly improve our playing experience especially for those of us with a large number of heroes.
